Vietnam’s second carrier Pacific Airlines (PA) today began a new service from Hanoi to the central city Danang. To coincide with the inauguration, PA also announced promotional fares to Danang from Hanoi and HCMC. Between November 5 and 14, a one-way ticket will cost VND500,000 (US$32). With the addition of the new route, PA completes a link between all three main hubs in the country – Hanoi in the north, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City in the south. In another offer, PA said passengers traveling at night to Danang from HCMC and Hanoi would be offered free three-star accommodation in the central city. At a ceremony to launch the new route Friday, PA donated VND50 million (US$3,200) to Danang for victims of Typhoon Kai-tak which ravaged the central region this week.
